Who we are
Since 2006, Luckie Art Studio has been dedicated to providing high-quality, systematic art education and hands-on studio learning for children and teenagers aged 4–18 in the Greater Boston area. For nearly two decades, we have accompanied and nurtured thousands of young artists, supporting them as they explore, grow, and express themselves through art.
We design personalized art curriculms based on each student’s age, cognitive development, interests, and individual goals. Through careful guidance, we help children learn to observe the beauty of the world while cultivating their imagination and creativity. Under the instruction of our professional teachers, students systematically explore a wide range of artistic media and creative practices, including pencil and charcoal drawing, colored pencils, soft and oil pastels, markers, pen and ink, watercolor, traditional Chinese painting, acrylic and oil painting, printmaking, collage, mixed-media and 3D creation, as well as design, illustration, digital art, photography, and film production.
We encourage students to apply what they learn in meaningful ways—by participating in state, national, and international art competitions, and by preparing strong portfolios for private school and university applications. More importantly, we believe that art should extend beyond the page and become a way for children to understand the world and give back to society. Since 2022, our studio has established a youth art volunteer program with over one hundred student members, engaging them in impactful community-based art service projects that bring positive change through creativity and action.
At Luckie Art Studio, our teaching philosophy centers on providing every child who loves art with the guidance and support best suited to them. Whether art becomes a lifelong passion or a future profession, our warm and structured approach helps students build confidence while developing aesthetic awareness, imagination, and creativity. Along the way, students naturally cultivate focus, perseverance, and a strong inner motivation for growth.

自2006年成立以来，Luckie Art Studio 始终致力于为大波士顿地区4至18岁的儿童与青少年提供高品质、系统化的艺术教育与实践型工作室学习体验。近二十年来，我们陪伴并培育了数千名年轻艺术爱好者，支持他们在艺术探索中不断成长，自信表达自我。
我们根据每位学生的年龄阶段、认知发展、兴趣特长及个人目标，量身定制个性化艺术课程。在专业教师的悉心指导下，帮助孩子学会观察世界之美，激发想象力与创造力。学生将系统学习并实践多元艺术媒介与创作形式，包括素描、炭笔画、彩色铅笔、软粉彩与油粉彩、马克笔、钢笔画、水彩、中国画、丙烯与油画、版画、拼贴、综合材料创作、立体造型，以及设计、插画、数字艺术、摄影与影视制作等。
我们鼓励学生将所学运用于更广阔的平台，通过参加州级、全国及国际艺术比赛，提升综合能力，并为私立学校及大学申请准备优秀作品集。更重要的是，我们相信艺术不应止于纸面，而应成为孩子理解世界、回馈社会的重要方式。自2022年起，工作室成立青少年艺术志愿者项目，目前已有百余名学生成员，积极参与各类社区公益艺术服务，以创意与行动为社会带来积极影响。

Yue Zheng
Yue Zheng is the founder of Luckie Art Studio and an award-winning art educator with over 20 years of teaching experience. Trained from a young age, she graduated at the top of her class from Nanjing University of the Arts, receiving the Liu Haisu Highest Honor Award and a First-Class Scholarship. She previously taught at nationally recognized fine arts institutions in China, earning top honors in regional and provincial teaching competitions. Since founding Luckie Art Studio in the United States, she has guided students ages 4–17 to success in statewide, national, and international art competitions, while earning multiple national and international awards for excellence in art education.

Ian Wang
Ian Wang is a filmmaker and stop-motion animator from Lexington, Massachusetts, whose work explores extreme psychologies at the intersection of comedy and horror. A 2025 graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design with a major in Film, Animation, and Video, he is a visual storyteller with a strong foundation in directing, videography, photography, editing, digital effects, graphic design, and stop-motion animation. He has directed and produced award-winning short films for the New Legacy Cultural Center and continues to develop work that blends live action with stop-motion.

Ana Meli Olivo
Ana Meli is an experienced art educator with over five years of teaching experience, specializing in high-quality visual arts instruction for elementary and middle school students. Her teaching practice integrates multicultural curricula that connect art with history and social movements, emphasizing both creative skill-building and critical awareness. Through a positive, student-centered approach, she nurtures individual talents and passions while supporting artistic and personal growth. Working across digital and traditional formats, she is committed to creating inclusive learning environments that empower young artists to develop confidence, technical proficiency, and a strong creative voice.

Cindy Xia
Cindy Xia is an art student, designer, and studio art teacher whose practice bridges illustration, graphic design, and education. Working across digital and traditional media, her work explores visual clarity, craft, and accessibility through pattern design, character illustration, typography, and publication design. Alongside her studio practice, she teaches art to students of diverse ages and backgrounds, using creative making as a tool for confidence, expression, and community engagement. Her work is informed by a strong foundation in realist drawing and painting, technical fluency across contemporary digital tools, and a commitment to art as both a personal and shared experience.

Eleanor Wang
Eleanor Wang is a studio artist and educator trained in Jewelry & Metalsmithing at the Rhode Island School of Design (BFA, 2016–2020). Her practice centers on drawing and painting, with a focus on colored pencil, oil painting, charcoal, and soft pastel. She has extensive experience teaching youth and adults, including portfolio preparation, summer programs, and adult drawing and acrylic painting courses. Her work is grounded in strong observational skills and traditional techniques, shaped by a history of national and international awards in drawing and illustration during her formative years.

2026 Summer
Intensive & Enrichment Art Program
This summer, from July 6 through August 23 (7 weeks total), Luckie Art Studio will offer a wide range of intensive and enrichment art courses for children and adults who love art.
Courses will be taught by Teacher Zheng, along with Wang Yu, Meli, Lee, and Ian, graduates of the Rhode Island School of Design, and Cindy, a graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art. Each instructor brings their own professional strengths and specialties to the program.
Summer Course Offerings
Art portfolio preparation for:
Middle school students applying to private schools
High school students applying to colleges and universities
Competition training classes for various age groups
Drawing:
Pencil drawing
Charcoal sketching
Soft pastel painting
Acrylic or oil painting
Original storytelling projects and large-scale acrylic paintings at student height
Illustration and pop-up book creation
Digital art using computer software, including:
Anime character design
Short video and animation production
3D printed character and design projects
Photography, videography, and video editing
Adult Classes Also Available
In addition to children’s classes, we also offer adult art classes. Parents, grandparents, and any adults who enjoy art are warmly welcome to join.

Because many daytime summer camps are in session, weekday evening classes will be offered after instructors finish camp teaching hours.

Students may choose preferred weekdays, morning/afternoon times, and Teacher Zheng will organize classes based on enrollment numbers.
Registration Recommendations
Children may enroll in one favorite class per week during summer break.
Students who love art are encouraged to explore multiple elective courses.
Parents, grandparents, and other adults are especially welcome to join our seasonal adult classes.
Tuition & Attendance Policy
Tuition is based on the number of classes you expect to attend.
As long as space is available, students may join classes at any time.
Interested families may contact Teacher Zheng. When registering, please estimate any dates you will be absent so instructors can offer those spaces to other students.
For temporary absences or requests to add classes during the summer, please notify the studio at least one day in advance.
Pre-planned absences may be deducted from tuition calculations.
Last-minute absences for classes already reserved will require a makeup class.

热爱艺术的学生也非常欢迎报名多门选修课程，充分体验不同艺术领域。
家长、祖父母及其他成人学员亦欢迎参加仅在暑期开设的成人课程。
学费与出勤说明
学费将根据您预计报名的课程次数计算。
如班级仍有空位，学员可随时报名插班。
有兴趣的家庭欢迎联系郑老师报名。报名时，请尽量提前告知预计缺课日期，以便老师安排候补学员。
如暑期期间需临时请假或加课，请至少提前 一天通知画室。
预先告知的缺课日期可在学费计算中扣除。

2026 Summer Camp & Course Registration
�� (July 6 – August 14)
Six weeks of comprehensive art camp options available. Classes are divided by age groups: 5–7, 8–12, and 13–18.
For students aged 5–12:
Morning sessions focus on foundational skills using a variety of materials and techniques, including sketching, acrylic painting, pen drawing, watercolor, printmaking, and marker art.
Afternoon sessions offer a range of fun and engaging electives such as crafts, photography, video production, and digital drawing on iPad.
For students aged 13–18 (middle and high school):
In addition to regular courses, students can choose portfolio preparation classes for private school or college applications, as well as training for various art competitions.
Lunch can be brought from home or ordered through the program.

After School Program
Luckie Art Studio Fall After-School Program Enrollment Notice (September–December)
To better support families who have difficulty with school pick-up arrangements, Luckie Art Studio is pleased to launch our Art After-School Program beginning in September 2026.
Enrollment Eligibility
Students in Grades 1–8 from Lexington and select areas of Winchester are welcome to apply.
Program Schedule
Monday–Thursday
After school until 5:30 PM
Parents may pick up children as late as 6:00 PM
Friday (Half-Day Schedule)
School pick-up at 12:30 PM
1:00–1:50 PM: Extracurricular activities + board games
1:50–3:20 PM and 3:30–5:00 PM: Two formal class sessions
Transportation
Luckie Art Studio will partner with Lycal to provide carpool transportation from participating schools directly to the studio.
(Carpool transportation fees will follow Lycal rates and will be announced separately.)

Materials
To make after-school attendance easier during the school year, students do not need to bring art supplies from school.
The studio will provide all standard materials.
Standard materials fee: $5 per class
Special materials, if needed, will be announced separately and prepared by families.
Students may store supplies at the studio instead of carrying them back and forth.

大阿福娃娃艺术画屋秋季9-12月课后班招生通知
我们大阿福娃娃艺术画屋（Luckie Art Studio）为了方便接送有困难的家庭，将在2026年的9月准备开
始开办艺术课后班！
招生对象和范围：
Lexington 及部分Winchester的1-8年级的学生
课后班招收1-8年级学生为主
1. 周一～周四时间为课后4-5:30pm,家长可以最晚6:00pm来接；
周五半天时间为12:30去学校接，1-1:50pm（课外活动+桌面游戏） 1：50-3:20、3：30-5:00
pm (2节正课)
2. 大阿福画室和Lycal 合作一起carpool到各学校接孩子直接到教室上课（carpool接送费与Lycal同
步另行通知）
学习内容有：
1-3年级学生 学习：基础课油画棒，线描、彩铅，马克笔，水彩，版画，丙烯画以及各种手工制作
4-5年级和6-8年级 学生学习：初中级素描、iPad数码绘画、粉彩画、丙烯创作，线描速写、插画、木
刻版画、高级手工课以及有一定基础的学生可以和画室学生一起参加多种州、全国及国际绘画竞赛。
为了方便课后班学生上学期间不用带绘画工具，画室全包所有绘画材料（普通材料$5/课，如有特殊材
